Square-profile gaskets go on square profile pipes (welded-collar type). The tapered-style OE gasket can’t always seal up aftermarket exhaust pipes with welded and rolled collars that don’t flare as OE pipes do. This copper James exhaust gasket seals flat-profile pipes to minimize leaks and promote long service life.

If you’re resealing an exhaust, consider replacing your exhaust spring clips/retaining rings and pipe flanges (available separately).
